2022 Pellet Price Trends: Savings for Consumers as Prices Drop 35%

Pellet prices 35% more expensive at the end of 2022

This price reduction is the second in a row. If this statement from Valbiom at the end of the year is good news for consumers’ wallets, it is also interesting regarding market developments. In 2022, it is in October and November that prices broke all records. For comparison, the 15kg bag of pellets sold on average for €11.43 in October and €11.35 in November. It was 35% more expensive than now. For a pallet (66 bags), the difference between November 2022 (€749.10) and November 2023 (€473.22) is €275.88.

Of course, we are referring to an average price. You can find 15kg bags of pellets for €6.99 at Brico and Colruyt or between €6.99 and €8.49 at Mr Bricolage. More than ever, it is interesting to compare before buying, especially from local resellers.

The evolution of prices in any case confirms the analysis, at the beginning of July, of the manager of Bois Moderne for whom “nothing would justify” a sharp increase in prices.
