‘2022 Regular Academic Conference of Meridian Acupoint Association’ will be held on the 2nd of next month > News

There will be an opportunity to introduce the current status of basic oriental medicine research and clinical application plans for clinical oriental medical doctors and researchers of basic oriental medicine.

The Meridian Acupuncture Society (President Hi-Jun Park) announced that it will hold the ‘2022 Regular Academic Conference and Continuing Education’ on the 2nd of next month online (Zoom) with the theme of ‘Status and Future of Basic Research in Oriental Medicine’.

This conference was prepared to share the current status of basic oriental medicine research and to provide an opportunity to introduce and exchange methods for clinical application of basic oriental medicine research.

In the first part of the conference, under the theme of ‘Status and future of basic research on meridian acupuncture points’, △ fusion of acupuncture points and anatomy through ultrasound imaging (Dr. Lee Sang-hoon, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine) △ salience network on the effect of acupuncture treatment for functional dyspepsia Role (Dr. Kim Ji-eun, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine) △ Research direction of meridian acupuncture points in the age of artificial intelligence (Professor Yun-Byung Chae, Kyung Hee University) △ Research on the protective effect of acupuncture treatment on hippocampal nerve cells through microRNA changes in blood in an inflammatory animal model (Professor Seung-Nam Kim, Dongguk University) School) △Acupoint characteristics: A symposium will be held on diseases and body surface reaction points (Dr. Ryu Yeon-hee, Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine).

In addition, the second part, with the theme of ‘Clinical application of basic oriental medicine research’, is conducted in connection with continuing education, △Study of mind-body syndrome (Professor Ho-Seop Lee, Wonkwang University) △Pathophysiology and clinical application of CFS/ME (Professor Chang-Kyu Son, Daejeon) University) △ Invitational lectures are planned on the multi-drug effect of Yin-Yang Kwak on liver disease (Professor Sang-Chan Kim, Daegu Haany University).

Along with this, in Part 3, poster presentations by researchers in basic oriental medicine will be presented.

Regarding this conference, Chairman Park Hi-Jun said, “I hope that this regular conference will be a place of communication that helps not only meridian acupuncture research but also various basic oriental medicine research. I hope it becomes a place of opportunity,” he said.

Meanwhile, this conference is co-hosted and sponsored by Daegu Haany University Liver Disease Herbal Medicine Convergence Research Center (MRC) and Pusan ​​National University Health Aging Oriental Medicine Research Center.
