Next Saturday, Jumeirah Beaches will witness the launch of the activities of the 2023-2024 marine sports season, organized by the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, with the holding of the first and opening round race of the 22-foot Dubai Local Sailing Championship.
The organizing committee at the Dubai International Marine Sports Club began preparing for the opening race of the new season, in coordination and consultation with governmental and national departments, bodies and institutions. The organizing committee also announced the opening of registration to participate in the event by registering on the electronic portal and the club’s official website, where the registration process continues until Registration closes at noon next Friday.
The organizing committee approved the technical regulations for participation in the race, which includes two categories, the first for youth under the age of 21, and the second for juniors under the age of 16, with the possibility of one contestant (under the age of 21) participating, in order to give the contestants the experience of participating during the stages of the race.
The Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, Mohammed Saif Al Marri, welcomed the participants in the club’s activities and events during the new season 2023-2024, as well as the representatives of government and national departments and bodies that contribute to the success of the races and stand behind the club’s successes, wishing everyone success in achieving success.
