The 2023 International Jigong Cultural Festival will be held in Victoria Park for three consecutive days starting from Friday (10th). There will be an 80-meter-long Jigong “blessing” tunnel for the first time. After the walk, you can get a transfer windmill. There will also be Jigong dance performances at the same venue. Activities such as the Jigong Plague Exorcism Ceremony, the Gourd Aromatherapy Soap Workshop and other activities are free for the public. The “2023 International Jigong Cultural Festival” returns after the COVID-19 epidemic and will be held in Victoria Park from Friday to Sunday (November 10 to 12). The event is free of charge. Experience intangible cultural heritage from multiple perspectives
The Legend of Jigong was listed among the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative items in 2006. In order to present this intangible cultural heritage from multiple perspectives, the “Jigong Dance” and “Jigong Dispelling Plague Ceremony” will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, November 12 ”, in the former, more than a hundred people put on Jigong uniforms and danced the Jigong dance together; in the latter, about 250 people put on Jigong uniforms and paraded at Victoria Park Stadium. Sheung Wan Jigong Temple organizes free guided tours
In addition to Victoria Park, the Jigong Temple in Sheung Wan will also hold public tours of “Jigong Beliefs, Customs and Cultural Activities” for two consecutive weekends starting from November 11 to showcase Jigong culture, legends and the evolution of Jigong beliefs and customs in Hong Kong, and strengthen It is free of charge for the public to learn about Jigong culture and early Chinese history.
