After 2017’s Sonic Mania, things slowly started to move in the right direction, and the Blue Blur has been almost as popular since the release of the Sonic the Hedgehog movie as he was in his Mega Drive heyday.
2023 has also been a very good year for Sonic, with the release of Sonic Superstars , LEGO Sonic sets, smartphone games, Sonic merchandise (Crocs!), and more. You can really tell Sega feels good about Sonic right now, as they’ve now shared a retrospective video showing what he’s up to in 2023.
