[Voice of Hope July 4, 2023](Editor: Guo Xiao) In Roman mythology, there is a dark and cold underworld, where the dead gather! When Pluto in the solar system was discovered, it was far enough from the earth to be on the edge of darkness, and the temperature was extremely low and covered with ice rocks. American researchers have spent a long time exploring Pluto, and believe that Pluto has many similarities with the legendary “underworld”, which is the origin of Pluto. Scientists have found that staying on Pluto for one year is equal to 248 years for the earth, but when you stand on the surface of Pluto, you survive for less than 1 second. Since scientists discovered this cold planet, they estimated it as the ninth planet in the solar system. Later, following learning more regarding Pluto, they believed that it did not belong to a planet. Pluto (public domain) Scientists found that the surface environment of Pluto is relatively harsh. It is a very terrible planet. The lowest temperature can reach minus 229°C. The ultra-low temperature environment will bring danger to human life, so it is impossible for human beings to live in such an environment. survive. The surface temperature of Pluto is extremely low, mainly because it is far away from the sun, and the heat it can receive from the sun is extremely limited. Pluto’s surface is also covered with a thick layer of frozen gas, 98 percent nitrogen ice. At present, scientists are still studying Pluto. If the spacecraft accidentally falls on Pluto, the end waiting for human beings is instant death. The revolution orbit of Pluto is very long, and one revolution is equivalent to 248 revolutions of the earth. After calculations by scientists, it was found that the mass of Pluto is only 17% of that of the earth, so the gravitational force that can be formed is also very limited. A paper published in the journal Science in 2022 showed that huge ice volcanoes were discovered on the surface of Pluto. Ice volcanoes can bring the energy inside the planet to the surface, keeping the temperature around the volcano in a suitable range. Coupled with various organic materials that may be erupted by volcanoes, scientists speculate that there may be life on the surface of Pluto. The ancients always believed that Pluto and the underworld were connected, and following their death, their souls might go to other planets following reaching Pluto. In this regard, some researchers said that looking at the extreme environment above it will make people think of the “underworld”. The ancient saying has its possibility. The volume of Pluto is 0.6% of that of the Earth (public domain). In fact, there are still many unknown mysterious celestial bodies in the universe. Since the current science and technology are still relatively backward, there is no way to better discover them. But as the observation equipment becomes more and more advanced in the future, scientists will also find more celestial bodies that have not been discovered before. However, in recent years, some scientists have devoted themselves to the research of Pluto, trying to restore its status as the ninth planet. In short, there are still many unknowns waiting for human exploration on Pluto. It is believed that with the rapid development of science and technology, human footprints will travel throughout the entire solar system.Editor in charge: Li Jingrou

Climate helplessness – government has been ignoring recommendations for a year climate referendum
2023-07-04 13:55:05
Vienna (OTS) – Around 100 people from Austria discussed measures to achieve climate neutrality by 2040 with enthusiasm and commitment as part of the Climate Council. Detailed recommendations were developed together with experts. The reactions are sobering – the 93 recommendations of the Climate Council have been swept under the carpet by politicians for exactly a year.
One year ago today, the Climate Citizens’ Council handed over 93 recommendations for containing the climate crisis and achieving climate neutrality by 2040 to the federal government. Since then, the more than 400,000 supporters of the climate referendum and the climate council have been waiting in vain for measures or reactions. The Climate Council was one of the central demands of the climate referendum to involve the public in climate policy measures. In March 2021, the Climate Council was commissioned with the votes of the ÖVP, Greens and NEOS in a motion for a resolution and carried out in 2022 by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection. Over six weekends, the 100 members of the Climate Council worked out recommendations together with experts and presented them to politicians in July of the previous year. These recommendations might have been quickly implemented by politicians, following all they came directly from the population.
But instead of taking the recommendations made seriously and implementing them, they ended up in the drawers of our politicians. There they wait for better times.
There is acceptance by the population, but there is no political will
“The government – which once decided on the climate council – does not want to hear the voices of the population. Where is the much-cited ‘closeness to the people’? This kind of politics does not do justice to the people who stand up for the most important issue of our time. Only binding laws and dialogue can help once morest the climate crisis – without delay and ignorance!” Elisabeth Sallinger from the climate referendum gets to the heart of the disappointment.
The 93 recommendations of the Climate Council provide a roadmap that will lead Austria to climate neutrality by 2040. It is high time that we embarked on this path. We finally need structural framework conditions to initiate the energy and climate transition. Individual decisions alone will not contain the climate crisis. Today’s presentation of the draft of Austria’s energy and climate plan has shown once more: we are currently missing our climate policy goals by miles and are putting our living conditions at risk.
Effective and courageous climate protection looks different. The government still has a chance to act forward-looking by acknowledging the climate crisis for the threat it is and taking strong action.
On the climate referendum:
The climate referendum wants to promote bold climate policy. Around 400,000 people signed the referendum, and the motion for a resolution in Parliament on the demands made it a historic success. However, there is still a lack of implementation. Politicians must finally take climate protection seriously. It must create the legal framework that will ensure a fair and liveable future for us and our children. The numerous volunteers behind the climate referendum are tirelessly committed to this.

La Baraque d’édition is an editorial collective in which every author is also a co-editor. The objective is twofold: to support the first writings and to encourage the texts of living workers, those who allow themselves to be transformed by the encounter with the people with whom they work. This book, the first in a series, highlights through 13 stories of interns in psychiatry, the invisible often neglected, which guides us throughout our life, namely the link.
What similarities hide all effective therapies to heal the human mind? Behind these stories, the reader dives into 13 unique encounters between psychiatrists and patients.
This Collective announces the release of a new opus, “more hefty than ever”. Fourteen authors meet the reader through their short stories. They will soon be psychiatrists, “a funny job” whose learning » limit to infinity”. According to these authors“to experience it is a daily adventure“. Through their stories, they share the experiences that marked them, without cheating, without the rendering in force, with a little poetry restoring the humanity that we might think lost in our hospitals.
These stories bridge the gap between the value of an encounter and the strategies that made it happen. It is often a spontaneous gesture that improves the condition of a sick person that these caregivers have listened to without always understanding. Most of the time, they stay halfway, in an unfinished understanding, but one that allows them to wander.

EXCLUSIVE – Unions and employers agree on a “post-retirement” social agenda
2023-07-04 12:46:35
Posted Jul 4, 2023, 9:52 a.m.Updated Jul 4, 2023, 2:46 p.m.
Last June 21, during his last press conference, the president of Medef, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, showed himself to be very confident: the social partners, he said, will find an agreement on their “post-retirement” social agenda before the hundred days, the July 14 deadline set by Emmanuel Macron to draw up an initial assessment of the government’s action. It’s done. With a few days in advance, employers and unions have decided on the heads of chapters of the negotiations that they will present to the government, we learned from concordant sources.
The first part includes those that they can carry out independently, that is to say without a letter of framing stopped by Matignon. There are seven topics: governance of social protection groups (GPS, summer 2023); four-year Agirc-Arrco agreement with a negotiation organization meeting to be scheduled then negotiation in September 2023; launch of the follow-up committee for the national interprofessional agreement (ANI) teleworking: launch of the joint committee for transposition of the ANI value sharing; diagnosis on the provident fund of non-executives (within the framework of the ANI ATMP); Finally, promotion of trade union careers.
“It’s our business”
Not all subjects have the same value. There is what stems from previous agreements (monitoring committee), what is part of the long term and already started (GPS), or even what shows the will of the social partners to remind the executive “c ‘is our business’ (supplementary pensions). As for what emerges from the trade union careers, one of them points out that nothing will be possible without the employers dealing with the subject of the discrimination suffered by elected personnel.
The second part of the social agenda comes out of the so-called “L1” law, that is to say with a framework letter. “THE” major theme whose absence was reviled by opponents of the pension reform, CFDT in the lead, is included, namely that of the employment of seniors. “Yes, we can do better […] to employ, keep and adapt workstations”, assured Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux this Tuesday morning on “France Inter”, referring to a “first point of negotiation at the start of the school year”.
As a corollary, we find the establishment of the universal time savings account, Emmanuel Macron’s campaign promise which promises many debates between unions and employers. It also includes the theme of professional careers, the prevention of professional wear and tear and professional retraining, in connection with the professional branches.
Not refereed
Two other subjects of negotiations, finally, not arbitrated, are subject to additional work, still according to our information. First, that of unemployment insurance. It’s not win. The employers (and the government with it obviously) consider that it is necessary to start from the current situation, that is to say by keeping the benefit reforms imposed by the executive since 2021. Some unions, on the contrary, want to return to the ex-ante situation so as not to ratify the fait accompli.
The government is going to have to act quickly anyway. Unless it is extended, the decree which introduced the so-called principle of countercyclicality in force since February 1, namely a variation in the duration of compensation upwards or downwards depending on the state of the labor market , falls on December 31.
The sequel to Matignon
Second, and no less divisive, are wages and the evolution of classification grids, the numerous increases in the minimum wage in recent months crushing even more the revaluation indices. The negotiation is far from assured, between once more the unions who want to put the subject at the interprofessional level, and the Medef which considers that it is above all a subject of business.
The following ? The unions having sent an end of inadmissibility to the Head of State, it must in principle go through a meeting with Elisabeth Borne and her ministers concerned and all the social partners. The date remains to be decided.
