“Sonic Superstar”, developed by SEGA and officially released on October 17, currently has a “mixed review” on Steam. This is not because there is a big problem with the game itself, but because the system requires players to log in to Epic Games. In order to experience the complete content, it received negative reviews from a large number of players. “Sonic Superstar” has caused controversy because it requires Steam version players to log in to their Epic Games account. Although single-player content is not affected, Steam players must apply for an Epic Games account to use multiplayer content because “Sonic Superstar” is cross-platform. The server used by the function comes from Epic Games. This design offends players, who would rather the game not support cross-platform functionality than be forced to apply for an Epic Games account. When you first enter the game, you will be asked to log in to your Epic Games account. After actual installation testing, the system will indeed install “Epic Online Services” when the player runs “Sonic Superstar” for the first time. This is because “Online Battle Mode” requires logging into Epic Games. Account is required to play. Normally, if you only play in single-player mode, it will not be affected. However, many players still believe that this behavior of forcing players to install software for other game platforms is unacceptable, triggering a wave of refunds from angry players. You cannot play online battles without an Epic Games account

Netflix ends Basic plan without ads in Brazil after the end in several countries
2023-10-18 18:00:00
Update (10/18/2023) – by DT
This Wednesday (18), the Netflix announced yet another change in its plans in Brazil. The streaming platform will end next week with the basic subscription option without ads, which costs R$25.90 per month in our country.
The service claimed that the reasons for this change revolve around the new cheapest option with ads. However, it is worth highlighting that this exclusion of the Basic plan will only be for new or returning subscribers to the platform.
Therefore, anyone who already has a basic subscription will not suffer from the changes, according to the platform. Until then, Netflix had four plan options: Standard with ads, for R$18.90; Basic, for R$ 25.90; Standard, for R$39.90; and Premium, for R$55.90.
It is also important to mention that Netflix was already ending this ad-free Basic plan option in other countries in recent months. Furthermore, the service began to restrict sharing of passwords for the same accountwhich displeased many.

After restricting password sharing, Netflix is expanding a new change to its plans. This time it is the basic plan that is being phased out in the United States and the United Kingdom following being terminated in Canada. With this change, only three plans remain available, with the cheapest requiring users to watch advertisements.

The change was confirmed by the Neowin and TechRadar. According to them, those who have the basic plan with 720p resolution for $9.99/£10.99 per month without watching ads, but it is no longer available to purchase on the official Netflix website in these regions.
The image above is a screenshot of the official Netflix US website, which now only displays three available plans: Standard with ads for $6.99 with 1080p image, Standard without ads for $15.49, and Premium for US$19.99 with 4K and HDR image.
It is not yet possible to say whether the change would also be applied to other countries like Brazil, but here the basic plan without ads remains in force with a monthly fee of R$25.90. However, it is important to remember that plan prices were recently readjusted, which indicates that Netflix is willing to change its offering model.
Another important point is that Netflix ended the basic plan in these countries on the same day that it is expected to reveal its financial results for the first time since it restricted password sharing. A preliminary report says that the company has gained subscribers, which may further motivate it to pursue these policies.

Carbohydrates and Weight Gain: How to Avoid Starchy Vegetables to Maintain a Healthy Figure
2023-10-19 05:11:35
We know that carbohydrates play a real role in weight gain and obesity. Although these organic molecules supply our body and our brain with energy, when we pay attention to our figure, we should not abuse them too much and limit our consumption as much as possible.
The problem is that carbohydrates are found in almost all of our favorite foods. Whether it is rice, pasta, or even bread, but also in certain vegetables, particularly those rich in starch which can cause weight gain, as suggested by a study relayed by Top Health. Conducted by American researchers and published within the British Medical Journal, this highlights the harmful effects of vegetables rich in starch for our figure.
What vegetables are too rich in starch to avoid so as not to gain weight?
For 24 years, scientists followed 136,432 men and women aged 65 or younger who were in good health at the time of their enrollment. Their mission was to regularly complete several questionnaires providing information on their medical history and lifestyle. At the end of this study, the researchers found that the participants had taken on average 1.5 kilos every four years, or almost 9 kilos in 24 years.
Weight gain, which would be linked to their increased consumption of carbohydrates from refined cereals, vegetables rich in starch (potatoes, corn, peas) and sugary drinks. Researchers therefore recommend instead favoring foods rich in fiber and carbohydrates from whole grains and non-starchy fruits and vegetables (without starch), such as broccoli, carrots or spinach. “Most of these associations were stronger in people with excess body weight, highlighting the potential importance of carbohydrate quality and source for long-term weight management.”the researchers said in their report, indicating that weight gain was generally greater in women than in men.

2023-10-19 02:39:09
Canadian player Arber Xhekaj signed a partnership with La Chambre – Microbrasserie Sportive which launched the smash burger to pay tribute to him. Getting involved in the community is important to Arber Xhekaj: for every hamburger sold, one dollar will be donated to two foundations. The first being Angel Project, from London, Ontario, where her mother volunteers. This organization provides help to thousands of complex care patients in the form of top-notch medical equipment. The second is the organization Vision Inter-Cultures which is located on the South Shore of Montreal which is dedicated to improving the lives of immigrant families, in memory of its parents who immigrated to Canada in the 1990s at the search for a better life.
The nickname “The Sheriff” was given to Arber Xhekaj when he played minor hockey, because he was always on the rescue to defend his teammates. In the photo, we see him preparing to eat the smash burger.
