The sky is once once more azure blue for global air transport. After a year 2023 marked by a rebound in traffic and a faster and more powerful return to profits than expected, airlines are approaching this new year with optimism.

According to forecasts from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), 2024 should not only bring even higher cumulative profits, but also a new traffic record. It is expected to exceed, for the first time, the pre-Covid level, with more than 4.7 billion passengers expected, compared to 4.5 billion in 2019.
