From January 1, 2024, bpost will adapt the prices of its postage stamps and parcels.
The Non Prior postage stamp, purchased individually, will increase from €1.39 to €1.46 (€1.43/piece when purchasing a sheet of 10).
The Prior postage stamp will see its unit price increase from €2.17 to €2.27 (€2.24/piece when purchasing 10 pieces).
The company justifies this decision by the need to “partially offset increased costs related to inflation and declining mail volumes“.
The price of sending packages will also be increased. Rates might also increase by an additional 3% during 2024, if inflation were to rise more than expected.
Bpost had already increased its prices by 15% on average last year. Thus, the price of the stamp has increased by almost half since 2019. In fact, five years ago, it was worth 0.95 euros.
