The governing body of Colombian professional soccer defined the route that the teams that will fight for the two promotions available to the first division for 2024.
The teams that qualified after the completion of the round-robin phase are Llaneros FC y Patriots Boyacá as first and seeded, followed by Cúcuta Deportivo, Deportes Quindío, Cortuluá, Real Cartagena, Fortaleza and Valledupar.
In that order of ideas, the two groups were distributed as follows:
Group A: Llaneros, Fortaleza, Real Cartagena and Quindío
Group B: Patriots, Cúcuta, Cortuluá and Valledupar
The winners of each group will compete for the first of the places towards the final to be held at the end of the year versus the winning team of the same tournament in the second semester.
In the event that any team wins both tournaments will automatically guarantee their transition to the first category and the second promotion will come from the first two in the reclassification table.
If two different teams win the opening and finishing tournament the second promotion will be defined between the team that loses the annual final against the one that occupies the first place of the reclassification. In the scenario that the same team that lost the final was the leader of the reclassification, it will immediately go up in category for the next year.
