Other available items include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, proximity keyless entry, push-button start and a sunroof.
Security
Standard driver assistance features include: Rear view camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams.
Available driver assistance features include blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
On the highway
The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is a practical car that isn’t very engaging to drive. This Corolla’s powertrain is unimpressive, especially at high speeds, but it returns good fuel economy estimates.
The overall handling is more tuned for relaxed driving than aggressive cornering, making it easy to drive.
This Toyota feels at home around town, but once you hit the highway the powertrain starts to feel lackluster, so passing will require a bit of attention and planning.
The Corolla Cross provides seamless shifts between gasoline and electric power, and the CVT works well, but can cause the powertrain to hum loudly at high speeds.
