This is why a vaccination campaign is being organized from April 15 to June 16, 2024. This period may extend until July 15 if necessary.
The people affected by this campaign are individuals at risk, such as people aged 80 and over. But also immunocompromised people, residents in USLD (long-term care unit) or in nursing homes (accommodation establishment for dependent elderly people), regardless of their age. Finally, all people who are weakened by their individual medical situation are concerned.

All these people will be able to receive a new dose of the vaccine from three months after their last injection. Vaccination is done with your doctor, a nurse or a pharmacist. The authorities specify that people wishing to be vaccinated but not representing the public concerned will still be able to receive one of these doses.
The Olympics in sight
According to the High Authority of Health (HAS), this new campaign serves to protect the most deprived from the virus still in circulation and to avoid the development of a more severe form of Covid-19. The General Directorate of Health (DGS) explained to our colleagues from BFMTV that, “this vaccination renewal approach is part of a collective desire to protect the most vulnerable populations and limit the spread of the virus throughout the year”.
