The Colorado Avalanche have traded forward Tomas Tatar to the Seattle Kraken for a fifth-round pick in the 2024 draft.

The 33-year-old has played 27 games for the Avalanche this season, recording 1 goal and 8 assists.

He played his 800th career NHL game on November 22 once morest the Vancouver Canucks, following signing a one-year contract with the team on September 12, 2023.

The Slovak has 212 goals and 464 points in 810 games in the National League. The former Montreal Canadiens also wore the colors of the New Jersey Devils, the Vegas Golden Knights and the Detroit Red Wings. He collected 57 goals and 149 points in 198 games with CH.

Tatar is a second round pick (60th overall) of the Wings in the 2009 draft.
