2024 PGA competition schedule announced!The senior tour will consist of 13 games in total.
The Japan Professional Golf Association announced on December 11th,2024 PGA Athletics Scheduleannounced. The senior tour will be held with a total of 13 matches, the same as last year, and the total prize money will be 637 million yen. The Nippon Professional Golf Tournament will be held from July 4th to the 7th at the Fuji Country Kani Club Shino Course (Gifu), and the Nippon Professional Senior Championship will be held for 10 years as the “Japan Professional Golf Championships TSUBURAYA FIELDS CUP” with special sponsorship from Tsuburaya Fields Holdings Co., Ltd. It will be held at Eagle Point Golf Club (Ibaraki) from the 3rd to the 6th of each month.
Among the senior tour competitions, the “FANCL Classic” has been moved from August to October. The schedule has been changed, with the “Sumida Cup” being moved to June. As a new senior sponsored competition, the “Japan Create Cup Junior & Senior Open Tournament” will be held at Yomiuri Golf Club (Hyogo) in July. The format of the Japan Pro Qualifier has been changed. Previously, the priority order of participants was determined at the final tournament after the first qualifying round, but from 2024, qualifying slots will be transferred to each region (15 districts). The method will be changed to one in which participants are determined through regional preliminary rounds.
It was also announced that the final qualification pro test will be held over four days from August 27th to August 31st at Katayamazu Golf Club Hakusan Course in Ishikawa Prefecture.
