Colpensiones, the public pension fund, announced the increases in the allowances that its retired retirees will have this 2024.
The entity assured that the allowance of those pensioners who received an allowance equivalent to a minimum wage will have an increase of 12.069% (just as the minimum wage increased for this year), thus remaining at 1,300,000 pesos.

In the case of those who receive a quota that is above the minimum wage, the adjustment will be equivalent to the inflation data for the month of December 2023 (9.28%). This was confirmed by the president of Colpensiones, Jaime Dussán Calderón.

“We are developing a very quick 48-hour procedure, organizing the payroll to pay the 1,641,074 Colpensiones pensioners their allowance with the corresponding increase. The entity has taken all technological, operational and human resource measures to conclude this process successfully,” he indicated.

This adjustment complies with what was decreed in Article 14 of Law 100 of 1993, which orders the annual adjustment of the Colombians’ allowance.
