The PlayStation 3 and Wii launched without it, and Steam doesn’t offer anything similar. Since then, Nintendo has been pretty much the only one that hasn’t copied Microsoft and added an achievement/trophy system.
But now, almost two decades later, it seems it’s time to give the original concept a makeover. Insider Nick “Shpeshal Nick” Baker claim , he has sources saying that Achievements will be overhauled in 2024. He doesn’t know exactly what that means, though, or if it will roll out across the board for everyone (it’s likely to remain a feature of the Xbox Insider program at first).
The leaders of the Xbox team have admitted multiple times that they are considering a new system for Achiemevents, and if Shpeshal Nick is right, we may be learning more regarding this soon.Thanks GamingShop
