I think it’s a bold move, but a calculated one. Ward’s arm talent and production in college are undeniable. However, as you mentioned, some question whether he’d have been the top pick in the previous year. The Titans clearly valued his potential to develop and his grit. The key will be his transition to the NFL level and how quickly he can adapt to the speed of the game.
Absolutely. Another major talking point was the Jacksonville Jaguars trading up to grab Travis Hunter. That’s a significant investment. What are your thoughts on adding a two-way player so early in the draft?
Hunter is a game-changer. His versatility is extraordinary. The Jaguars clearly see him as a potential star at either cornerback or wide receiver, maybe both if they choose to utilize his skillset. The trade signifies their willingness to pay a premium for a talent they believe can transform their team. The price was high, surrendering the No. 5 pick, but if he pans out,it will make them a force to watch.
The draft is always full of surprises. Were there any picks or trades that caught you particularly off guard?
Yes, the Seattle Seahawks trading up to pick at No. 8 to draft a running back stood out. Running back value in the draft can be unstable, so that move was unexpected. The value is always up for debate with running backs.
It certainly is. Looking ahead, what are some of the key storylines to watch as the draft progresses through the later rounds?
The depth of the offensive line class is good. Also, keep an eye on teams addressing needs at linebacker and safety, where there’s still a lot of talent available that could turn to value picks.
Now , for our readers, The 2024 draft was touted as having a strong quarterback class, do you think that narrative impacted team’s decision this year for quarterbacks?
Absolutely. there was a lot of pressure following that 2024 draft. It gave teams a better look a talent across the Nation, and if that class was as strong as we thought.At the end of the day teams know their own franchise better than the media.

I think fans should ask themselves: Considering the teams’ trades,do they believe any teams took strategic risks that could pay off big down the road,or does it set them back?
