Following projects like the Valour, Valiant, and DBR22, the brand has used the backdrop of Monterey Car Week to pull the wraps off its latest creation. Derived from the architecture of the Vanquish, the Valen steps into a crowded arena of electrified performance with a stubborn, wonderfully loud commitment to internal combustion.
Engineering the World’s Most Powerful Front-Engine V12
At the mechanical core of the Valen sits an evolution of Aston Martin’s familiar 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine. According to reporting from Motorpasión, the powerplant pushes out 850 metric horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a relentless 1,000 Nm of torque between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm. Road & Track notes the output slightly differently in mechanical conversion at 838 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque. Either metric crowns the Valen as the most powerful front-engine production car ever built in the British marque’s 113-year history.
Unlike almost every contemporary high-output launch in 2026, the Valen completely skips hybridization. There are no battery packs, no auxiliary torque-fill motors, and no software layers mitigating low-end turbo lag through electrical current. Instead, brute mechanical force heads strictly to the rear axle via a heavily revised ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. The gearbox utilizes specific calibration programs pulled directly from Aston Martin’s Vantage GT4 motorsport development, working alongside a carbon-fiber driveshaft and an electronic limited-slip differential.

Furthermore, Aston Martin tackled unsprung mass by equipping the Valen with bespoke 21-inch magnesium wheels. These are wrapped in custom Pirelli P Zero R tires measuring 275/35 ZR21 up front and 325/30 ZR21 in the rear, with a winter tire variant also engineered specifically for the platform.
The handling dynamics leverage Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers and model-specific spring rates. Aston Martin designed a 12-into-four titanium layout that makes the Valen roughly 50 percent louder than the standard Vanquish while remaining completely street-legal. The quad exhaust tips operate semi-independently: the upper exits remain constantly open, while lower valves actuate based on specific throttle positions.
Inside the cabin, the layout embraces a blend of exposed carbon fiber, 3D-printed metal components, and quilted leather. Notably, unlike competitors that have migrated entirely to glass-paneled dashboards, the Valen retains a series of physical switches and buttons alongside the central touchscreen interface.

Production will be strictly capped at 150 units, each assembled completely by hand. While official pricing varies by market and personal customization through the Q division, base figures hover around 1,750,000 euros including local taxes. Order books are open globally, though delivery timelines will ultimately depend on the sheer man-hours required to finish each bespoke chassis.
