Doha 23 235 cars sold in a single day at an online auction of vehicles abandoned on public roads for various reasons.
This is the first time in so many online auctions that so many cars have been sold in a single day. The first day sales value was 19,62,550 riyals, said Hamad Sultan Al Shahwani, head of the Doha Municipality General Control Section. The two-day auction was conducted through the Masad Qatar application.
This is the sixth online auction. For the first time, 46 cars were sold for 3,41,950 riyals. The second time 48 cars sold for 3,34,300 riyals, the third time 47 cars sold for 5,76,000 riyals, the fourth time 48 cars sold for 4,16,900 riyals and the fifth time 46 cars sold for 2,93,400 riyals.
