A new work organization will be implemented from April 15 at the port of Tanger Med.
From this date, customs clearance operations will be taken care of in their entirety at Tanger Med at any time of the day and 7 days a week. Referring to the Customs and Indirect Tax Administration, this measure aims to ensure a continuous operation of customs services in this port infrastructure. “This measure, taken in consultation with the port authorities and the private sector, is fully in line with the business support policy carried out by customs,” indicates the ADII.
And to specify that “it aims to strengthen the fluidity of customs clearance operations for goods and to further reduce customs clearance times in order to support the competitiveness of exporting companies and contribute to improving the productivity of operators operating in international transport” .
In order to succeed in this action initiated in favor of businesses, Customs has taken all the necessary measures in terms of strengthening and mobilizing its workforce within the said port and adapting the organization of work in order to meet the requirements of the new operating mode. In this regard, the ADII calls on economic operators to organize themselves accordingly, so that the efforts made by all bear fruit.
