Duisburg – There will be no peace for drivers in Duisburg in 2024 either. After several complete closures of the A59 in the direction of Dinslaken, the motorway is now closed in the direction of Düsseldorf. From the end of January, the route between the Marxloh and Fahrn junctions will be closed twice for a whole week.

- Where will the highway be closed? The A59 is completely closed between the Duisburg-Fahrn and Duisburg-Marxloh junctions in the direction of Düsseldorf.
- How long does the first lockdown last? From January 22nd (10am) to January 29th (5am)
- How long does the second lockdown last? From February 5th (10am) to February 12th (5am)
- How is redirection done? The diversion runs via the A42, A3 and B8.
- Why is it blocked? Work is underway on the road crossings on the “Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße” structure.
