Rabat – The Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans Living Abroad is organizing the 24th edition of the Cultural Stay for the benefit of the children of MREs from July 8 to August 22, 2023 at the Foundation Center in Kenitra.
Thus, 720 participating children will be welcomed over three periods: the first from July 8 to 21, 2023, the second from July 24 to August 6 and the third from August 9 to 22, 2023, indicates a press release from the Foundation.
Aged between 9 and 13, these children live in France, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain, United States, Canada, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Gabon, Gambia, Mauritania, Tunisia and Algeria. .
In order to contribute to the maintenance of the links between these children and their country of origin, a program is elaborated to make discover multiple aspects of the Moroccan cultural heritage through cultural evenings, days of discoveries (design of a weekly souk, popular games ), visits to historical monuments. In addition, dance workshops, plastic arts, theater, sports activities, beach, swimming pool are also organized in order to make the Cultural Stay a period which combines discovery and entertainment.
Since 1998, the Cultural Stay is organized annually during the summer period. All costs are borne by the Hassan II Foundation for Moroccans residing abroad, the statement concludes.
