Today, Tuesday, the Dubai International Holy Quran Award celebrates the conclusion of the “24th” edition of the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Holy Quran Competition, and honors the winners of its male and female branches.
Counselor Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Advisor to His Highness the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, stated that the award has completed the arrangements for holding these two ceremonies at the headquarters of the Al Nahda Women’s Association in Dubai, and that the ceremony honoring the male winners will be held today, while the ceremony honoring the females will be held tomorrow, Wednesday.
Bu Melha also praised the great effort and distinguished and skillful work carried out by the award’s administrative units and their work teams, through their distinguished organization of the final qualifiers that took place over a period of six days. The number of participants reached 40 males and 51 females, in the 6 branches of the competition, where 8 were able to Males and 10 females qualify for the final competition in the first section, which is memorizing the entire Holy Quran.
Bu Melha added that the second branch, which is twenty parts, in which 8 males and 11 females qualified, and the third branch, ten parts, in which 10 males and 13 females qualified, and the fourth branch, which is five parts for citizens, in which 5 males and 7 females qualified. As for the fifth branch, which is five parts for residents who are not more than ten years old, 6 males and 6 females qualified for it, then the sixth branch, which is three parts for citizens who are not more than ten years old, in which 3 males and 4 females qualified. .
Boumelha also invited the honorable public to attend honoring this group of memorizers of the Book of God, in appreciation for them and to motivate them to continue memorizing and reviewing.
