Birmingham: Commonwealth Games 3-3 England won gold in men’s basketball.

England beat Australia 17-16 in a tough fight. Birmingham-born Miles Hesson’s performance led England to victory. Hesen became the top scorer with six points. Jaden Henty and Orlan Jackman scored four points each and Jamel Anderson scored three points.

Canada beat Scotland to win bronze. Canada won the women’s final by beating England 14-13. Australia beat New Zealand to win bronze.
