The lungs are a major source of oxygen that nourishes the body parts, as many people suffer from respiratory and lung problems.

And there are some symptoms that you can look for in your legs to tell you that there are lung problems, according to bestlifeonline.

1. Pain, cramps or swelling of the legs:

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a serious condition that occurs when the arteries that carry blood from the heart to the lungs narrow, leading to high blood pressure, so the right ventricle gradually becomes weaker and loses its ability to pump enough blood to the lungs.

Symptoms include: chest pain, shortness of breath, persistent cough, dizziness, sweating, irregular heartbeat, fever.

In addition, those with deep vein thrombosis (DVT), may experience swelling or pain in one of the legs.

3. Discoloration of the legs:

Your legs change color to blue, it is a medical condition that occurs when levels of oxygen saturation in the blood drop below 85%, while there are a range of underlying conditions that can cause this, many of the most common causes are related to the lungs, and they include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary hypertension, asthma, and pneumonia.
