A 35-year-old woman died in a traffic accident near the Katsch an der Mur traffic junction (Murau district) on Saturday morning. According to the police, the woman from the Murau district drove a car on the L 501 from Katsch an der Mur in the direction of Frojach at around 2.30 a.m. and probably lost control of the vehicle due to slippery road conditions. She hit a marker post, tore to the right and came off the roadway over an embankment.
The car overturned and ended up in a field. The 35-year-old, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of the vehicle in the accident and seriously injured. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.
