Quebec has announced that teenagers will be able to reserve their place on Clic Santé starting Saturday to get their booster dose.

The decision follows an opinion from the Committee on Immunization of Quebec (CIQ)

The booster dose is recommended for young people at risk of complications related to COVID-19 or living in a closed collective environment.

All 12-17 year olds can also receive this third dose, if they have no contraindications.

The CIQ recalls that it recommends the Pfizer vaccine for this age group, due to a slightly lower risk of myocarditis.

For adolescents who have COVID-19, Quebec recommends respecting an interval of three months following infection.

The vaccination campaign has slowed down over the past month. From more than 105,000 doses administered on January 21, we rose to 17,500 on Thursday.
