Al-Marsad Newspaper: Turkish media reported today, Sunday, that an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred this morning in the Turkish state of Kahramanmaraş.

According to the Disaster and Emergency Agency (AFAD), a 4.2-magnitude earthquake occurred at 10.05 in the Gokson district of Kahramanmaraş.

The depth of the earthquake was determined to be 22.17 km

It is worth noting that the Turkish state of Istanbul and the Disaster Management Authority have begun to take a series of precautionary measures to confront a possible earthquake that may hit the city. These include reinforcing buildings, establishing assembly points and establishing a wireless network.
