Agents from the Karang Customs Office, Central Customs Region, arrested on Friday, April 28, 2023 an individual holding in his possession a bag containing five (05) packets of cocaine.
According to the press release from the Communication and Public Relations Division of Customs, the seizure took place around 9 am at the border entry point with The Gambia. The interrogation of the defendant made it possible to apprehend a second person who was involved in the traffic.

The two people arrested, all of Malian nationality, are in police custody, the document specifies.
The weight of the cocaine seized is 5.4 kg for a total value of 432 million CFA francs. The product is certified positive for cocaine by the OCRTIS office in Karang. The investigation is ongoing.
