40 new traffic cameras and 20 radar boxes planned for Vienna – Vienna

2024-01-22 14:21:24

The city of Vienna is providing the Vienna police with new radar boxes and traffic cameras to enable better control of popular speeding hotspots in the federal capital. Specifically, up to 40 new traffic cameras and 20 radar boxes are to be purchased in the coming years for up to three million euros. A corresponding resolution will be on the agenda of the Vienna City Council’s Mobility Committee next week. The tender will then begin, as stated in a joint release from the city of Vienna and the state police on Monday. The measure is therefore “another central component in the fight once morest the roadrunner scene in Vienna”.
