Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, director of the Alternative Punishment Department, said 4,000 people have used the alternative punishment scheme in Bahrain.
According to the new scheme, 200 people use it every year. It is implemented with the participation of the private sector. The possibility of further collaboration with the private sector was discussed with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry the other day. 70 local companies have expressed their willingness to cooperate with the project.
