42 aircraft linked to drug trafficking neutralized this year

Caracas.- The Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that 42 aircraft have been disabled in 2022 for violating the Control Law for the Comprehensive Defense of Venezuelan Airspace.

Through his Twitter account, Lárez reported that during 2022 they maintained the permanent deployment to disable 118 clandestine runways that were used by “transnational terrorist groups as an airlift to extract illegal mining and drug trafficking.”
