LR Teschl-Hofmeister: Congratulations to those celebrating their anniversary and thank the employees for their commitment
St. Pölten (OTS) – There are currently 42 people who are 100 years old and older living in the Lower Austrian nursing and care centers (PBZ) – 17 of whom celebrated their 100th birthday in a PBZ this year. One of them is resident Erna Steinschauer, who celebrated her 101st birthday at the end of November and – like most residents – will spend the New Year in one of the care and support centers in Lower Austria. During a visit to the PBZ Mödling, senior state councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister congratulated the woman celebrating her birthday and wished her a good start to 2024: “To be over 100, like Erna Steinschauer, is really something very special – especially if you are still active can share experiences and adventures from a century. I wish Ms. Steinschauer, all residents and all employees who are working at the turn of the year a happy new year.”
Demographic developments show that people in Lower Austria are getting older and older. For this reason, the state of Lower Austria is investing around 300 million euros in the construction, expansion and conversion of nursing and care facilities by 2030. Additional spaces will be created at existing locations and the comfort and quality in the houses will be improved.
