Half of medical malpractice complaints resolved in mediation
One out of two medical error complaints is resolved in mediation. The rest by medical experts. “In orthopedic surgery or even in neurosurgery, if there are sequelae due to the operation and the patient considers himself the victim of an error, there is a further analysis through insurance”, explains the mediator of the Citadel.
Assistance in the event of death
Some also contact the mediator to find out about the death of a loved one: “The families come back to be able to move forward in their mourning, to simply know what has been done, clearly, here, at the Citadel. At that time, we set up a series of discussions between the families and between the doctors and nurses”.
