Kuwait City: The Department of Housing has announced that more than 45 lakh transactions have been completed online since the introduction of the online system for renewing iqama in Kuwait. According to the latest statistics, more than 1.5 million iqamas from the private sector have been renewed online. Of the 48,446 domestic workers and 7,96,623 dependents, iqama transactions were done online. According to the Department of Housing, 82,498 foreigners working in the government sector have availed themselves of the online facility. The e-service is implemented through a page set up on the website of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The service is available in English and Arabic. Companies registering with the Home Ministry’s e-service will be given a unique username and password. By logging in with this you can complete the process by filling up the application online without going directly to the accommodation offices. Iqama sponsorship for domestic workers can be renewed online. For inquiries regarding transactions, please contact [email protected].
