“48 Children Hospitalized: Gas Odor at Kamei Elementary School in Osaka”

After 10:00 am on the 8th, a teacher reported to the fire department that there was an odor at Kamei Elementary School in Kamei-cho, Yao City, Osaka.

According to the fire department, 48 children have so far complained of feeling unwell, and several of them have been taken to the hospital.

All symptoms are mild.

According to the elementary school, the children temporarily evacuated to the schoolyard, but returned to the classroom after no odor was detected in the school building.
