Vienna (OTS) This year’s crap festival of the 48ers for the whole family on September 16th and 17th is all about “Zero Waste”. The eco and green event at the Hernals waste disposal site informs and entertains thousands of Viennese every year with information stands, children’s flea market, exhibitions and music – this year for the first time with its own “Zero Waste” stand. Climate Councilor Jürgen Czernohorszky is already looking forward to it and cordially invites you: “Take a look – get useful climate protection tips for your everyday life, find out first-hand about waste and environmental issues and enjoy it together with your children about the many attractions and the music program.”

Free entry to the varied entertainment programme

Variety is guaranteed: Information is provided about the services offered by the 48er and other departments of the City of Vienna and other institutions and this year for the first time a “Zero Waste” stand. The vehicles on display from the 48 fleet are a particularly popular attraction, especially for children. Visitors can also shop at the 48erTandler outlet and 48er fan shop, grab bargains at the children’s flea market from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., test their knowledge of waste and environmental issues at the dung quiz or drop by the Vienna climate tour.

The dung festival is eco and green

The dung festival will be held again this year as ÖkoEvent as well as GreenEvent carried out. The ÖkoEvent rating stands for the avoidance of waste, optimal waste management, the careful use of water and energy, the use of products from the region and from ecological production, the preference for products from fair trade and environmentally friendly mobility around the event. The Mistfest is easily accessible by public transport with the S 45 (Hernals station), tram line 43 (Wattgasse station) or bus lines 10A and 42A (Richthausenstraße station). If possible, please do not come by car, there are only very few parking spaces, and there are enough bicycle parking spaces.
