5.0 magnitude earthquake shakes Oaxaca; Civil Protection rules out damage

It was recorded this Thursday followingnoon of a earthquake from magnitude 5.0 south of Salinas Cruz, state Oaxaca.

According to information from National Seismological Service (SSN) on social networks, the telluric movement was recorded at 1:09 p.m. 90 kilometers from Salina Cruz, Oaxaca.

So far, no damage has been reported from the incident, but the Oaxaca State Civil Protection Coordination maintains monitoring.

Authorities pointed out that this earthquake did not merit the activation of the seismic alert because the energy estimate in the first seconds did not exceed the pre-established levels.

So far no authority has reported damage from this seismic movement.
