Some believe that drinking water cannot negatively affect the health of the body, but the method of drinking water may cause some complications that require consulting a specialist.

Mistakes to avoid when drinking water

1- Add fruit or vegetables

Adding fruits or vegetables to water may help to get a good taste, but an excessive amount of fruit or vegetables that are added can increase the chances of getting diseases such as salmonella, so it is not preferable to drink this type of water in excess.

2- Not drinking enough water

Some people are ignorant of drinking only one cup of water during the day, which causes difficulty in digestion, ease of dehydration and constipation, as well as the formation of kidney stones. Therefore, it is better to ensure that the daily amount required for the body is 11 cups for women and 15 cups for men.

3- Adding industrial materials

Some resort to adding artificial sweeteners or flavors to the water in order to get a better taste, but this may cause type 2 diabetes and cancer, and it is better to avoid artificial sweeteners completely to avoid any health complications.

4- Standing while drinking water

Doctors warn against drinking water while standing, because it causes poor balance in the body and not getting enough nutrients, and thus difficulty in digestion. It is preferable to drink water while sitting.

5- Drink water before eating

Some people believe that drinking a large amount of water before eating helps to increase the feeling of fullness and thus lose weight, but it causes difficulty in absorbing the nutrients in food, and causes constipation, nausea, and sometimes vomiting.
