The investigation authorities issued 5 urgent decisions in the death of “Fares”, a high school student, after he was hit by a car on the North Coast Road near the city of El Alamein.
The investigation authorities decided to release the accused by guaranteeing his place of residence unless he was wanted for another reason. The Public Prosecution also decided to dismiss the victim’s father and witness the incident from the prosecution companies.

Muhammad Ashour, the father of “Fares”, spoke to Masrawy, saying: My son had finished his high school exams and went on a summer trip with his friends on the northern coast after pressing exams and waiting for the result to appear. On August 1, I was surprised by a phone call informing me that my son had died and his body was in El Alamein Hospital, and when I went and watched him for the last time. I found nothing in his body, from the area of the skull that was crushed to his feet, one of which was amputated as a result of the terrible collision.
Fares’ father added, “All I want is the right of my son who caused his death, and I do not know the reason for the decision to release the accused driver, but I will not leave the right, and I asked the competent authorities to sign an analysis of the accused to show whether he used narcotics while driving or not, as well as unloading the surveillance cameras. At the same time, Mrs. Iman, Fares’ mother, went into a severe shock as a result of her knowledge of the accident of her son’s death, and she told Masrawy in brief words, “All we wish is to punish those who did this to my son. He was a superior athlete and one of the republic’s champions in karate, I don’t want anything but his right.”
The family of the student, Fares, announced that a report had been submitted to the Public Prosecutor to expedite the investigation into the death of their son, demanding fair retribution from the accused.
Friends and colleagues of the high school student launched a campaign on social networking pages under the title “The Right of Fares Must Return” to demand accountability for the cause of his death.

The incident started with the El Alamein Police Department in Matrouh Governorate receiving a notification from the Emergency Police, stating that there had been a report of a collision in front of a tourist village on the North Coast Road, and a death case.
The security services and a force from the El Alamein Police Department moved, accompanied by an ambulance, and it was found that the body of Faris Muhammad Ashour, 18, was present, and his body was transferred to El Alamein Model Hospital, while the driver of the car responsible for the accident was arrested and the incident investigated.
