Wopfing/Peggau (OTS) – The Baumit Color Advice Center in Peggau in Styria has every reason to celebrate: “Since the opening in 2018, more than 1,000 builders have opted for a professional color advice service in Peggau. More than 800 design proposals for the associated construction projects were also created. Trend reversal: 70 percent of all color consultations in the West are for house renovations

Even if the numbers for private new builds are declining, color advice for refurbishment projects is now picking up speed. “There is a clear east-west divide here. While in eastern Austria around 55 percent of all color consultations for new buildings are used, in western Austria a good 70 percent are for house renovations“, Georg Bursik justifies a trend reversal. One reason for this is the increased awareness of the value of existing buildings. Well-planned refurbishments show an increased value of the property, low energy costs and a comfortable indoor climate with a reasonable financial effort.

In the past, living trends were mostly limited to the design of interior spaces. Today one observes a movement from the inside out. “Hygge on the inside, hygge on the outside. Three new color schemes emerge: natural with a greenish touch, earthy with brownish tones and “shady” with greyish color nuances. The current sales statistics show that Baumit is right on trend with the new range of colours: “In the ‘Top 10’ Baumit colours, 35 percent are already from our new trend color palette. The classic ‘Schönbrunner yellow’ is obviously losing importance.”adds Willy Spanring.

The cosy-looking, Scandinavian minimalist furnishing trend combines light and pleasant colors with different white and wood tones on the facade. With hygge you should feel completely comfortable at home.

“Boho” focuses on strong and natural

The boho furnishing trend is also conquering the façade. Strong natural colors such as gold, ochre, rust and wood not only design the interiors, but also the “face” of the building.

“Concrete” combines cool with warm

It combines cool with warm colors. Straightforward and modern, concrete comes into its own in its various nuances.

“Metallic” works with light effects

Finally, there are two options: The color concept that has been worked out is presented and discussed in the color advice center using a sample house. If you want to see the color suggestions implemented on your own premises, it takes about 3-4 days to prepare the printed documents, which are then sent by post.
