Three police helicopters and an army helicopter carried out extinguishing work until the evening hours, but the fire was not put out for the time being. Around 60 volunteers from the Ramsau am Dachstein, Weißenbach bei Haus and Aigen im Ennstal volunteer fire departments have already been deployed. They will resume extinguishing the fire on Saturday morning and receive reinforcements. According to a release from the fire department, seven helicopters and all of the country’s aviation squadrons will arrive to provide support on Saturday.

The cause of the fire is still unclear. There were no injuries for the time being.
