500 visitors to 11 awareness corners in “My World Mental Health”

More than 70 volunteers participated in the activities of the World Mental Health Day, organized by Irada and Mental Health Complex in Dammam, under the slogan “Mental Health and Well-being for All”, with 11 awareness corners, in a mall in Dammam. The participating corners witnessed a wide turnout by visitors since the launch of the event, and the number of visitors on the first day reached 500 visitors to see the contents of 11 corners, in addition to the participation of Prince Sultan College of Health Sciences, the Human Rights Commission, the Saudi Psychiatric Association, and the Autism Families Association, in the event. In addition to 7 pillars of the complex represented in awareness and education, clinical psychology, social service, pharmacy for drug education, therapeutic nutrition, nursing, and the Know Your Numbers initiative; With the aim of spreading awareness and raising awareness among community members about the importance of promoting mental health and its impact on the health of the individual and society.
For his part, the head of the operation of the Erada complex and mental health in Dammam, Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Juaib, that holding such events aims to promote mental health among members of society and provide support for mental health, adding: “We are working to devote efforts and increase work in the field of psychosocial support.”
He pointed out that activating this occasion comes as part of the Society’s efforts and plans to activate international health events among members of society, with the aim of raising awareness of the slogans and programs that these occasions carry, targeting the quality of healthy life in all fields.
