Three days of intense cycling competition will mark the Chillanejo weekend. From this Friday until Sunday, the 50th version of the Ascension of Los Nevados will be held, a traditional pedal race that hopes to bring together 160 athletes from all over the country.
“It is a test that has been consolidated in the national circuit and in which runners from all latitudes come to participate, it is one of the most important tests in the country,” said the mayor of Chillán, Camilo Benavente,
The president of the Cycling Association, Francisco Balboa, valued the contribution of the Municipality, “This test is in the ranking of the Cycling Federation, they included us, since it is likely that a Tour of Chile will be held and the runners who arrive They can add points.”
The start will be on Friday, February 16 with the time trial, whose start is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the La Liga Sports Center.
Saturday consider a double date. At 10:00 a.m. the route between Chillán, Pinto, Coihueco, Tres Esquinas and Carmen Alto will take place and in the afternoon, the urban circuit will be run with 25 turns along Avenida O’Higgins starting at 5:30 p.m.
On Sunday the queen test will be experienced, when from 9:30 a.m. the flag is lowered from the Municipality of Chillán, heading towards the Ñuble mountain range.
