4 cameras to monitor every corner
In this pack, Amazon provides no less than four surveillance cameras. You will be able to leave your home more peacefully. Coming back to its content, we discover the Blink Outdoor, which as its name suggests, is a camera designed for the outdoors. It therefore does not fear rain and is resistant to bad weather. Wireless and easy to install, it runs on batteries (AA) giving it a battery life of two years. This is a good thing, because most cameras on the market run on battery power and require regular charging.
Once started, it is capable of filming in 1080p for a clean rendering, sometimes lacking details, but still usable. They secure your home day and night, because they have infrared night vision so you don’t miss anything that happens after dark (in 720p only, however). A two-way audio system is built in so you can hear and speak with people who knock on your door. With the Blink Home application, you will receive notifications, for example when movement is detected. To avoid false alerts and vibrate your phone every five minutes, it will be possible to create “detection zones”. This is also handy if you consider the latter to be a more sensitive point.
Also watch your doorstep
Amazon’s connected doorbell is also present in this pack. The Blink Video Doorbell connects to Wi-Fi. It can obviously be wired to its interior chime, to use it like a classic doorbell. It also acts as a surveillance camera and each time movement is detected, a notification in the Blink application alerts us to see who is ringing the doorbell, all in 1080p, and even at night. It will therefore be perfect for monitoring the front of your home, while the Blink Outdoor camera films another corner of your home.
To operate, it is powered by two AA batteries (included) and provides up to two years of autonomy. IP54 certified to withstand bad weather, it works with Alexa, which allows you to be notified on Alexa devices or to have live video on an Echo Show screen for example.
