57% of French people say they have reduced their meat consumption in the last 3 years

In 1 year, the price of meat in France has increased by…+30%

39% want to further reduce their meat consumption in the next 3 years

And 57% of French people say they have reduced their meat consumption over the past 3 years, 39% want to reduce it in the next 3 years – i.e. 9 points more than in 2021.

A choice also for ecological reasons

Although the desire to save money comes first among the reasons for this desire to reduce meat consumption, 45% of French people explain their choice for ecological reasons (up 6 points compared to 2021).

Limit the presence of intensive farms

As far as agriculture is concerned, 85% of French people expect measures aimed at limiting the presence of intensive farming, while state support for sustainable farming is desired by 90% of French people.
