The German government is apparently preparing a ban on cellphones: Components from the Chinese manufacturers Huawei and ZTE are said to be banned for the construction of the 5G network. The trigger for this is the concern that China might gain direct or indirect access to the German mobile network. In Austria, the legal templates for such a ban would basically be there, but the domestic mobile operators are still waiting.
