Yesterday, the organization of the event, Energy Capital & Power, called the press for more details on this conference, which will be attended by the African Energy Chamber, NJ Ayuk, in addition to the National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency, the Regulatory Institute of Petroleum derivatives and new operators that entered the market following the latest oil tenders conducted by the national concessionaire.

The conference once again has the collaboration of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas and aims to reinforce Angola’s role as one of the most relevant and credible producers worldwide.

Five years after the first edition, the Angola Oil&Gas conference wants to reinforce Angola’s role as a privileged “ambassador” abroad as a stable, compliant market with the potential to make new discoveries and reach higher levels of oil production.

The director of Energy Capital Power Angola, Luís Conde, highlights the “interest and growing desire to transform this event into one of the most popular in Africa, whether on the part of decision-makers, operators or service providers”, he said .

Luís Conde states that Angola, as the second largest oil producer in Africa, enjoys a high reputation among players in the sector due to the commitment it has always assumed with foreign investors and the commitment to improving the business environment and the constant and systematic improvement of its legal framework.

The person in charge adds that “this year we want to make history, organizing a more effective event that is more conducive to the creation of future business among exhibitors, and we want to reinforce Angola’s institutional relations with institutions that, at African and global levels, lead prospecting. , oil exploration and production”.

This conference is also an instrument for boosting the local economy by attracting a significant number of foreign delegates to the Angolan capital, who boost both the hotel and restaurant sectors, and also by creating direct and indirect jobs during the preparation and implementation of the conference. event.

It is important to note that in September 2023, 2,213 delegates were in Luanda, from 41 countries, 73 speakers, mostly international, and representatives of 389 companies working in the oil sector.

During the event, 445 jobs were created for Angolan professionals and 22 for foreign professionals.
