The third Riyadh Health Assembly directed 6 health guidelines for kidney patients, while performing Hajj.

The gathering explained through its official account on Twitter that the focus of these tips is on kidney failure, which requires dialysis, as well as on cases of poor kidney function and kidney stones.

He noted that these tips include:

1- Refer to a doctor to ensure that he is able to perform Hajj and to know the appropriate health instructions.

2- The renal failure patient was keen on regular dialysis during the pilgrimage period.

3- Take care to carry the prescribed medications and keep them in a suitable place that is easily accessible.

4 – Refer to the nearest health center or hospital when any disorders occur in the body such as gastroenteritis or tract infections.

5 – Avoid exposure to the scorching sun for long periods to prevent the loss of fluids and salts from the body.

6 – Do not eat too much meat and protein so as not to affect the function of the kidneys.
