At a press conference, the Mobility secretary announced the temporary closure of six stations on Line 2 of Metrorrey due to the finding a structural flaw that puts the lives of users, motorists and passers-by at risk.
Abraham Vargasdirector of the Metrorrey Collective Transport System, confirmed that the stations affected will be those of Children heroes, Universidad, Anahuac, St nicolas, Tapia y Pathlocated in the municipality of San Nicolás, same as They will close an approximate period of between two and six months.
Consequently, the official affirmed that the deficit in mobility will be compensated with the use of public transport truckswhich will be used to transport users provisionally.

They blame the ‘old politics’
The holder of Mobility, Hernan Villarrealpointed out that, for years, the structure of Metrorrey supported a weight for which it was not designeda “inheritance” from previous administrations.
“The corruption and negligence of the old policy put the lives of the people of Nuevo Leon at risk,” could be read in one of the filmstrips presented by the authorities, while Villarreal explained that since 2017 cracks have been detected in the capitals of the structure.
“Today the decision was made to close because one more day would be another day with the risk of users; even though we initially had trouble getting users to scroll, we could not in any way risk the lives of users“, explained the official.

Upon express question, the officials explained that there are several providers who provided their services for the construction of the structure and an investigation will be undertaken to establish responsibilities.
“Complaints will be made and whoever is responsible will be punished; at this moment we have not had time to fully verify that, but complaints will definitely be taken (…) We will inform you as decisions are made, ”Villarreal explained to the media.
