6 Metrorrey stations close due to structural failure

At a press conference, the Mobility secretary announced the temporary closure of six stations on Line 2 of Metrorrey due to the finding a structural flaw that puts the lives of users, motorists and passers-by at risk.

The holder of Mobility, Hernan Villarrealpointed out that, for years, the structure of Metrorrey supported a weight for which it was not designeda “inheritance” from previous administrations.

“The corruption and negligence of the old policy put the lives of the people of Nuevo Leon at risk,” could be read in one of the filmstrips presented by the authorities, while Villarreal explained that since 2017 cracks have been detected in the capitals of the structure.

“Today the decision was made to close because one more day would be another day with the risk of users; even though we initially had trouble getting users to scroll, we could not in any way risk the lives of users“, explained the official.
